Local Teacher Resigns After 29 Years
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Lydell Self has been the band director at Gordon Lee High School for 29 years. But this week he'll be cleaing out his office and resigning from his position.
Self will be returning to his hometown of Rome, GA to oversee the band operations at Rome High School. During his nearly 30 years at Gordon Lee, Self has led the band to perform in New York City at the Macy's Day Parade, as well as numerous bowl parades, and the rededication ceremony for the Statue of Liberty.
