The 5th year for the event, the fashion show draws 600 and more participants each year and has raised over $130,000 to date for Y-ME programs providing information, empowerment and peer support to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone. This year's show will feature 28 local breast cancer survivors, each of whom model has a special story about her experience. As she walks down the runway, her own words of how she has found "the silver lining" after breast cancer are read for the audience.

Celebrate Easter in the Park

Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia presents Easter in the Park  a special community wide Easter service, Sunday March 23rd at 9:30 a.m. at Wilder Tower inside Chickamauga Park. 

In the last two years over 10,000 people have attended and this year Oakwood expects another large crowd.  Come and bring lawn chairs or blankets and dressed as you would like to this community wide celebration.

There will be live music from Chris McDaniel, formerly of Confederate Railroad and a special Easter message from Rev. Darrell Henry of Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamauga.

On a place where soldiers died for a cause, we will celebrate a Savior who died - and arose  for us, says Pastor Darrell Henry.
