Former Notre Dame High School wide receiver Adarius Bowman has signed a rookie contract with the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Bowman was considered a possible early round NFL draft pick just a few months ago, but
things went bad for the former Oklahoma State standout. At the combine he ran an awful
40 time, and just weeks before the draft Bowman was arrested in Athens, TN for
possession of marijuana. He went from a good looking prospect to
being taken off of every NFL draft board.
That was the second time in his athletic career that Bowman's future has
been clouded by marijuana. As a freshman at North Carolina he was arrested and charged with possession of 2.3 grams of
marijuana.
Bowman was dismissed from the team midway through his sophomore season and transferred to Oklahoma State where he became an All-Big 12 performer.
