Candace Parker is Pregnant

Last April, Candace led the Tennessee Lady Vols to their second straight women's college basketball national championship.... a couple of days later she was the first player taken in the WNBA draft... in June she became only the second woman ever to dunk in a WNBA game... she did it again a couple of days later. Parker went on to win the league's rookie of the year and MVP awards... she helped the US team win a 4th straight Olympic gold medal... last month the Associated Press named Candace as the 2008 female athlete of the year.
Today comes word that Candace and her husband Shelden Williams of the Sacramento Kings are expecting their first child this spring.
Tennessee head coach Pat Summitt has sent word to Candace that if it's a girl, she expects her to follow in her mama's footsteps and one day play for the Lady Vols.
