Titans Caravan Rolls Into Town
The Tennessee Titans caravan rolled into Chattanooga Friday to meet and greet fans.
Wide receivers Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright were the featured players who signed autographs for the steady crowd at Academy Sports near Hamilton Place Mall.
Both receivers acknowledge the dry spell from the playoffs has been too long. They also both say that new head coach Ken Whisenhunt is an offensive guru and they are still trying to absorb all of the new playbook.
Wright said the Titans have the offensive weapons to step up to the next level. "We want to run it up, we want to put as many points on the board as we can. We have a lot of players in different spots that can do it. In the backfield, you got Jake and Dexter and Shonn back there. On the outside, our receivers, you have me, Justin and Nate, Mike P."
Wright said he sees a lot of potential in Jake Locker, especially if he stays healthy. He feels they have a good chance to make the playoffs. He noted a sign the team turns to, "Think With the End in Mind."
Hunter also feels the desire to return to the playoffs, noting what he thinks it will take to get there. "Just dedication, you just gotta stay hungry. Hungry and humble, you know. Go out there with determination, just ready to win."by John Madewell
