Vic Grider To Coach Coahulla Creek
Vic Grider, who stepped down as the head football coach at South Pittsburg after the 2012 season, will be returning to the sidelines as the head coach at Coahulla Creek High School in Whitfield County, Georgia.
Grider, who coached the Pirates to a 162-43 record and three state championships in 16 years, has been an assistant principal and athletic director at his alma mater since stepping down as head coach. At Coahulla Creek he replaces Jared Hamlin, who started the football program in 2011 and was fired in November after guiding the Colts to a 4-16 record in two seasons.
Grider is scheduled to be introduced as the Colts new head coach after the school's football banquet tonight.By Darrell Patterson
