Tennessee forward Amber Gray will be transferred to a hospital to be near her family in Ohio after suffering unspecific complications following shoulder surgery last week.
Lady Vols team trainer Jenny Moshak says Gray's July 2 surgery was successful, but the West Chester, Ohio, native suffered some complications after surgery unrelated to her shoulder.
She will undergo diagnostic testing and rehabilitation at a hospital in Cincinnati. Tennessee officials did not have a timetable for her recovery and rehabilitation.
Gray, a 6-1 rising sophomore, injured her shoulder during a practice session after the end of the 2008-09 season. She played in 27 games, averaging 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per contest.
