Lady Mocs Winning Streak Ends at Charleston
The UTC Lady Mocs thirteen-game winning streak ended Monday afternoon at the College of Charleston. The Lady Mocs had their worst-shooting game in memory, hitting on only 26% of their shots in the 62-50 loss.
Jade Hughes scored 20 points to lead the Cougars. Jenaya Wade-Fray scored 15, Shanara Hollinquest 14 for the Lady Mocs, who lose for the first time since a 74-66 December 17th loss at Elon.
The Lady Mocs overall record slips to 18-7 overall, they're now 13-3 Southern Conference, and only one game ahead of Charleston in the standings, with four regular season games left. Three of those will be at home, starting with Saturday's 5:00 game with Appalachian State, which will be the first game of a doubleheader. The Mocs, who host Samford Wednesday night, will take on Furman Saturday around 7:30.
