Saturday Sports Clinic Starts August 30

The Memorial North Park Hospital sports injury clinic will be held every Saturday morning from August 30 to November 15.

"This special clinic offers exceptional convenience, expertise, and cost-effective care for athletes, sports officials, and ‘weekend warriors' who sustain non-emergency sports-related injuries," says local orthopedic surgeon Todd Bell, M.D. "It is very important for students and adults to stay active, and immediate attention to sports injuries can assure a return to favorite activities with fewer complications."

The clinic offers a free examination by an orthopedic sports medicine specialist, with assistance from an athletic trainer. There is no office fee for the exam, and if imaging services are required, they are usually covered by insurance. Patients without insurance will receive the same consideration for financial assistance as they would if they came to the hospital for any other outpatient service.

Memorial North Park Hospital is located at 2051 Hamill Road in Hixson, Tennessee. Patients with an appointment should come to the Emergency Entrance and sign in at the Patient Registration desk just inside the door.
