Soddy-Daisy's Derek Rende, a junior on the Chattanooga Mocs golf team, has the lead after three rounds of the state amateur golf tournament in Memphis.

Rende shot a three under par 68 today and is a 12-under 201 after 54 holes.

Defending champion Bobby Hudson of Memphis, who was tied with Derek after yesterday's second round, is three shots back after shooting a 71 today.

Hixson's Paul Apyan is tied for 14th place at one-over par as they head into Friday's final round.
