Vols Dance off to Providence
The Tennessee Vols are headed north. UT will play its opening round NCAA tournament game in Providence, Rhode Island on Thursday, the time is still to be determined. The Vols are seeded 6th in the Midwest Region and will face number 11 seeded San Diego State. Tennessee is in the same region as Kansas, who the Vols knocked of earlier this season. The Jayhawks are the number one overall seed in the tournament.
The other three number one seed are Kentucky, Duke and Syracuse.
Vanderbilt is the number four seed in the West. They face Murray State on Thursday. ETSU is a 16 seed in the East and they draw Kentucky on Thursday. Georgia Tech is a 10 seed in the West and will face Oklahoma State on Friday.
Southern Conference champions Wofford is the 13 seed in the East. They will face Wisconsin in Jacksonville on Friday.
